If you still follow me and have been wondering where I have been: Congratulations. You're one of the few spectators of my severe 4-year art block who cares about where I have been all this time.

It's a long, long story.

Onto more pressing matters however: I'm closing this account soon. In fact, within a week of this journal being typed up. I'll be setting up a new account, where I might put up a few of my better older pieces up. A fresh, new start for myself, basically. I severely need it. I have a lot of projects already underway, and you'll be first to witness everything.

If you're interested in following me again, comment here and I can send you a note with my new deviantART username.

See you on the flipside!

FC

EDIT: I have finally moved to my new account and have notified those who wanted to follow me. If you have just seen this and would like to follow me, I will be checking this account every so often.

Thank you everyone!

Ho ho ho, after posting journals full of "ART SOON I PWOMISE", I'm starting to actually post some stuff up - all of which are done within the same day in a few hours.

So, I only realised a few minutes go that my latest piece, Beckon, is my 100th deviation.

GO ME!

Here's to many more deviations to come! :toast: ;D

Hello, remaining faithful watchers! :D

I had an awesome of time in Americaland. I spent lots of time with the wonderful Sane-Intolerant and met RippedNewspaper, Darkblaze-Remix and PhoenixBird16. Massachusetts is amazingly beautiful.

Also: My artist block is slowly lifting, meaning art real soon! I feel bad for not posting anything, but that's going to change pretty soon.

So, I got news on a few things, so here goes:

Commissions
I'll be taking in international commissions soon, as I've officially opened up a Paypal account. So those of you who has been wanting to commission me since forever, here's your chance! I'll be posting a price list/regulations in a separate journal entry. I'm pretty new to this whole thing, so don't mind me getting my bearings and all. Anyone with advice (AKA those who's done this before), I appreciate it if you could just drop some tips here :3

Sneakers
I'm still taking commissions to paint sneakers, but unfortunately those would be restricted to Singaporean shores as shipping would be terribly expensive - even more than the commission itself. I'll include the rates for those on the forementioned commissions journal entry I'll do doing soonish.

OIC Portrait Day</u>
arlejerlutos and I would be drawing with the OIC at MAAD on 6th September, Saturday at the Red Dot Museum. Being your friends don to have their portrait done!

I think that's pretty much all for now, but I'm pretty much starting from scratch with my art and all. I have no idea if I've improved since I haven't practiced for so long, but let's see how I fae that challenge ;)

Femaleclaws is now taking in commissions to paint canvas sneakers! They will be unique and one-of-a-wind, and of course, can make a great gift for a friend (if you know their shoe size!)

First, what medium does she use? She only uses System 3 Daler Rowney Acrylics. They're a pretty good brand which FC has used for over 2+ years. Acrylics are the kind of paint, which after drying, does not wash out with water. FC is very new to the sneaker painting business, but so far, hasn't seen the need for fixative of any kind.

What does usually FC draw? FC usually likes doing/and can do animals, nature, intricate designs and tribal tattoo designs - though if what you want does not fall into that category, just ask and she'll see if she can do your request.

How does FC go about it? FC gets the request, eg. "I want a little crazy, like flowers and squiggles and lots of pastels." FC then takes that and interprets it, and paints the shoe directly - little to no planning and sketching done. Its very impromptu and instinctual. She's sorry she can't do a draft, but if you have any specific ideas, do give things like patterns or photos for her to reference and she will do her best to put that onto the shoe.

Price: The standard is around S$35 per pair. This mostly covers the time taken, as well as paint. The price is negotiable and depends on design - if its more intricate, its more expensive.

Time Taken: It will take FC between 2-4 weeks to complete. She will only take 2-3 orders at any one time (1 pair = 1 order)

How do I pay her? FC prefers if the person can pay on the meet-ups; On the first one to pass the sneakers and maybe discuss design, a deposit would be paid. It is half the price of the shoe, and when FC gives the completed shoes, you pay the other half. Its that simple! Unfortunately this means FC can only take local orders. Sorry!

Interested? Leave FC a note or a comment here and I'll correspond with you! :3

Please note: Sneakers not included - please provide your own pair of blank, clean, canvas sneakers for me to draw on. They can be of any colour, although white or black is preferable.
